I'm Team Dunkin

When I look at this picture, I can't help thinking that having them taste more like a cat's nether regions would actually be an improvement for Krispy Kreme donuts.

  1. Huh. I love Krispy Kreme and think Dunkin tastes like what you find on the bargain shelf at the Piggly Wiggly.

    Must be a regional thing.

Except I prefer White Castle to Krystal. Which shoots that theory all to hell.

  2. I love Krispy Kreme. My red hot love for them might fade if there were an English speaking counter person working at any of our DD, though.

  3. Had the kids in a private school for a while, and Krispy Kreme sales were a frequent fundraiser. We don't have a KK here in town, so they'd take the bus up to Portland and buy a *thousand* dozen! Then set up booths at various places around town and sell 'em all in a few hours.

People bought 'em like they were the greatest thing ever. I just don't get it. The day-olds from the grocery store down the street were better AND cheaper.

  4. Krispy Kreme and Duncan Doughnuts are nice and all, but neither measure up to Tim Horton's.

  5. Don't know that all these Amurican places should even be allowed to call their products "donuts". Maybe in a pinch, if you are really jonesing, but Timmy's, the inventor of the apple fritter, well, nuff said.

  6. I like Krispy Kreme's plain glazed doughnuts okay, but anything beyond that -frosted or filled or whatever- just makes me sick.

Have you had Dunkin' Donuts' pumpkin doughnut, though?! Wow!

  7. I worked at DD...you don't want to know. I've a TRUE story about rats and...nevermind.

The day the KK opened in our hometown almost two months ago...the cops had to forgo their doughnuts because they were needed to direct all the traffic that came in that day.
