  1. Sad that "Huh?" is a repair indicator. Makes you sound like an idiot.

    My niece and nephew, properly raised with grammar and everything by my brother and his wife, had to explain to the kids in their new school that "I beg your pardon?" meant "huh?". I'm not convinced that this is an improvement.

  2. It seems that most people, wherever you go in the world, actually want to find out what the other person is trying to communicate. They want to "repair" broken communication.

    I know an outlier...

  3. I think I know your outlier. Small children communicate better with crayon drawings.
